- Email address — when you subscribe to the daily digest, request an API key, set up a company watch, unlock lookalike results, or sign in.
- Account basics — if you sign in with Google, we receive your name and email from Google. Magic-link sign-in uses only your email.
- Usage analytics — pages viewed, features used, and approximate location (from IP), via PostHog. Standard server logs and error reports (via Sentry, configured not to capture personal data).
- API usage — requests to the Teahose API (including from the open-source
teahose-mcpclient) are logged with an IP address or API key for rate limiting. The MCP client itself sends no telemetry.
We do not collect payment card details — payments, if you ever make one, are handled entirely by Stripe.
- To send the emails you signed up for (daily digest, watch alerts, product updates).
- To operate, secure, and rate-limit the website and API.
- To understand which features are used so we can improve the product.
We never sell or rent your personal information. We don't share it with third parties for their marketing.
Every email we send includes an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately. Signing in also subscribes you to the daily digest — you can opt out the same way, or unsubscribe from everything at once from your account page.
We use a session cookie to keep you signed in, an analytics cookie (PostHog) to count visits, and local storage for small preferences like dismissed banners. No advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking.
Your data is processed by the infrastructure we run on: Vercel (website hosting), Railway (database and API), Amazon Web Services (email delivery), PostHog (analytics), Sentry (error monitoring), Stripe (payments), and Google (optional sign-in). Each receives only what it needs to do its job.
We keep your information while you have a subscription or account. Want it gone? Email agent@teahose.com and we'll delete your data — your email address, watches, API keys, and account — within 30 days.
If this policy changes materially, we'll update the effective date above and note it in the daily digest.
